Talkiatry, a psychiatry practice that provides virtual, in-network psychiatry, has posted a Remote Service Agent / Patient Care Coordinator job to their careers page.

In this role, you will field requests from patients and providers, help keep provider schedules full and optimized, and guide patients through the intake process. The role involves inbound and outbound communications, creating triage tickets, sending discharge letters, and other related tasks.

Applicants should have experience providing phone, email and chat-based customer service; experience answering phones and multitasking in a fast-paced environment; experience scheduling appointments; strong written and verbal communication skills; and excellent customer service skills. It’s a plus if you have Medical Reception experience, but it is not required.

The posted pay rate is $18 per hour.

You Will

  • Answer incoming inquiries from patients, answer questions, and schedule appointments
  • Make outbound phone calls to patients, pharmacies, and insurance companies
  • Create and triage tickets in ServiceNow
  • Ensure that providers are scheduled for best use of time
  • Schedule appointments as needed in eClinicalWorks
  • Support clinicians via Microsoft Teams Chat to:
  • Schedule patient follow-up appointments
  • Reach out to patients who are late to tele visits
  • Send referral information to patients
  • Send discharge letters
  • Monitor and complete tickets in ServiceNow to:
  • Inform patients of insurance benefits
  • Respond to patient inquiries
  • Add copies of insurance cards/IDs to patient documents
  • Troubleshoot minor technological issues or escalate them to our helpdesk

Your Qualifications

  • Available to work weekend and holidays for client events
  • You must have a reliable Apple laptop, consistent *fast* internet connection (upload speed of 5 Mbps or more), and an external monitor- or the ability to obtain these prior to the hiring date
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in MacOS. You need to have a high level of comfort in web-based applications such as Zoom, Slack, Airtable, Dropbox, Intercom, and the G Suite – no PC/Microsoft applications will be used for this job!
