CareCentrix, a home health care services company, has posted a Remote Patient Billing Representative job to their careers page.

In this role, you will “research, resolve, and document approximately 30-35 inbound calls per day from patients, providers and health plan companies. You will respond to patient needs and help educate the patient in the role CareCentrix plays in their care.”

Applicants should have at least a high school diploma or GED; a minimum 1 year Customer Service experience in a call center environment; experience working in the healthcare or medical industry; at least 1 year of billing experience preferred; and intermediate keyboarding abilities (at least 30 WPM, data entry while active listening); basic PC & search engine abilities.

The posted pay rate is $17.50/hour + incentive bonus opportunities.

As a Patient Billing Representative, you will research, resolve, and document approximately 30-35 inbound calls per day from patients, providers and health plan companies. You will respond to patient needs and help educate the patient in the role CareCentrix plays in their care.

Hiring for multiple positions!

• Location: 100% Remote
• Start Date: Monday, 4/28th, 2025
• Starting Pay: $17.50 / hour + monthly bonus incentives
• Training & Nesting Period: 4 to 6 Weeks
• Training & Nesting Hours – Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm EST
• Shift After Training – Monday – Friday 9:30am – 6:00pm EST

Responsibilities

In this Job you will:

• Investigate payment status/inquiries to determine patient out of pocket financial responsibility.
• Collect outstanding balances and offer patient’s payment help through various financial options.
• Answer billing questions (explanation of benefits, balance, payments, and benefit information).
• Ensure prompt, efficient and accurate call resolution.
• Escalate patient issues and concerns as needed.

• You can demonstrate empathy and the patience to deal with difficult callers or complex requests.

Qualifications

You should get in touch if you have:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year Customer Service experience in a call center environment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in the healthcare or medical industry.
• Minimum 1 year of Billing experience preferred.
• Ability to navigate dual monitors and multiple applications.
• Intermediate keyboarding abilities (at least 30 WPM, data entry while active listening).
• Basic PC & Search Engine abilities (for example: use the mouse to click, troubleshooting, working with Microsoft Office, opening a browser, typing in URLs in the right location, bookmarking a site, and navigating the use of back/forward buttons).

How about a Remote Customer Service job that comes with $120 a month live event tickets, plus money for your home office?

SeatGeek, a mobile-focused ticket platform, has posted a Remote Customer Service – Event Expert job to their careers page.

In this role, you will resolve customer issues through a high volume of customer contacts (phone, email, and chat). In your performance of these duties, you will work daily with tools like Talkdesk, Zendesk, our internal admin, Slack, Google business tools, Github, Looker, Jira, and more.

Applicants should have a love for live events and an understanding that purchasing tickets to see your favorite band is not the same as buying a stapler; a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and experience working in Customer Service; strong communication skills and the ability carry on a conversation with anyone; the ability to keep a level head; and a reliable, high-speed internet connection.

The posted pay rate is $23.50 per hour.

As a member of our Customer Experience (CX) team, you’ll be the voice of SeatGeek to our customers. You’ll resolve customer issues through a high volume of customer contacts (phone, email, and chat) and stay in the know about SeatGeek’s latest features, our Enterprise clients, and SeatGeek ticketed events. We are passionate about providing ridiculously good customer service, and our Event Experts are some of the best in the industry. The Customer Experience team assists our users 7 days a week, 365 days a year, so some holiday work will be required. You must be able to work weekends as well as one of the following 8 hour shifts: 7am-3pm PT, 9am-5pm PT, 10am-6pm PT, 12pm-8pm PT, and 5pm-1am PT.

What you’ll do

• Provide specialized support for our customers through email, chat, and notably SeatGeek Enterprise customer phone support, with availability to work on the weekends
• Use metrics and consumer insight to help make SeatGeek better, and work with your managers to evaluate your performance amongst your peers and against success benchmarks
• Work daily with tools like Talkdesk, Zendesk, our internal admin, Slack, Google business tools, Github, Looker, Jira, and more
• Go above and beyond for our customers
• Attend 1 on 1 and group strategy meetings weekly

What you have

• Love for live events and an understanding that purchasing tickets to see your favorite band is not the same as buying a stapler – You can empathize with SeatGeek customers
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and experience working in Customer Service – Experience at a tech startup or high-volume company is a plus

If you have a good voice and can read aloud with clarity and passion, this could be a nice way to make some extra income.

The ACX system is set up to pay in two ways — your choice. Either get paid a flat fee for your work or share a percentage of the royalties on sales.

Regarding how much ACX narrators can make, if you choose the per-finished-hour route, I’ve found quite a few reliable references that put pay at about $100 per finished audio hour. I also found a good thread on Reddit where people who are doing it discuss their experiences, and the information there seems to confirm the pay rate.

One thing to keep in mind is a finished audio hour doesn’t simply mean an hour of reading as some of what you have recorded may require editing and that can take time as well. It’s best to figure that it will take over an hour to create an hour of finished audio!

Here’s what Amazon has posted about the role:

Choose the books you want to audition for! Through ACX, you can find an unlimited number of potential acting gigs, and the audiobooks you produce will be available on Audible, Amazon, and iTunes.

Choose how you’d like to get paid for your narration work:

• Your own per-finished-hour rate, paid upon successful completion of the audiobook.
• Share royalties from sales with the Rights Holder.

On ACX, an Audiobook Narrator is Also an Audiobook Producer.

Follow our Video Lessons and Resources to learn how to set up a home studio then edit and master your audiobook before it goes up for sale. Or find a studio professional to help out with the recording, editing, and mastering.

Here’s How It Works:

Step 1. Create a Profile – Sign up on ACX and create a profile that details your acting and audiobook experience.

Step 2. Upload Samples – Tag an unlimited number of samples in your Profile, based on accents, genre, and style. The more audio samples you include, the easier it is for authors to find you.

Step 3. How do you want to get paid? – Choose a per-finished-hour rate, or choose to share 50% of royalties. If you’re unsure, choose both.

Step 4. Audition – Search for books you’re interested in narrating and producing, and record a few minutes of the manuscript. If you’re the Rights Holder’s top choice, you’ll receive an Offer.

Step 5. Accept the Offer – When a Rights Holder makes you an Offer, agree on delivery dates for the first 15 minutes of audio and the final audiobook, and payment terms.

Step 6. Start Recording – Record, edit, and upload the a 15 minute checkpoint of the audiobook, which the Rights Holder will approve or provide feedback. When the sample is approved, record the remainder of the project.

Step 7. Work with Other Studio Professionals – To create a professional audiobook, you may want the guidance of other audiobook experts. If you need to hire one, or more, we have Independent Contractor Agreements you may use.

Step 8. Finish the Recording – Upload each completed chapter of the audiobook to meet our Audio Submission Requirements and Production Standard Terms. Before payment, the Rights Holder must approve the full audiobook, and has the right to request changes.

Step 9. Get Paid – If you and the Rights Holder agreed on a Pay for Production fee, you will be paid directly by the Rights Holder. If you produced the audiobook as a Royalty Share deal, then you’ll be paid based on 50% of the royalties on sales.

Step 10. Come back for more – ACX has tons of books waiting to be turned into audiobooks, so keep auditioning! If you’re highly experienced narrator with at least 25 audiobook credits, apply to be an Audible Approved Producer.
