Liberty Mutual’s Customer Service Operations (CSO) team supports the involuntary Worker’s Compensation department, assisting customers and agents with underwriting, audit, and financial inquiries. Insurance Assistants handle inbound calls and various service tasks, using problem-solving and organizational skills to complete both routine and non-routine duties. Training is provided, and schedule flexibility is required within the call center’s Monday–Friday operating hours of 8:00 am–8:00 pm EST.

Job Responsibilities

Enter and retrieve information using computer applications to update records and respond to questions.
Use intermediate skills to assist with billing questions, insurance documents, payment processing, correspondence, and other service needs.
Meet customer care goals, including quality, handle time, adherence, and reliability.
Follow a daily schedule to maintain service levels for phone and offline work.
Collaborate with underwriting and billing teams to resolve customer inquiries.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
1–2 years of customer service or administrative experience preferred.
Proficiency with computers; strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask in a structured, fast-paced environment.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
Ability to work in accordance with department policies and procedures.
Must meet work-from-home requirements, including a dedicated workspace and wired high-speed internet.

Compensation & Benefits

Typical starting salary: $38,800–$42,000.
Salary range: $34,000–$65,000.
Full benefits package: health, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, AD&D, HSA, FSA, EAP, dependent care resources, 401(k) with company match, and additional benefits.
Flexible Time Off with 15 days annual accrual.
Mandatory attendance for the training period beginning February 9th.
