OPENLANE, a technology company transforming wholesale vehicle remarketing, has posted a Remote Customer Service Representative opening to their careers page.
In this role, you would assist customers—including repossession companies and lenders—by answering questions, providing information, and troubleshooting issues via phone, chat, or email. You’ll support website and app users, document problems, communicate with other departments, and deliver excellent customer experiences.
Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED (some college preferred), at least three years of customer service or call center experience (automotive or repossession experience a plus), strong interpersonal skills, and basic technical support knowledge. Salesforce experience is preferred but not required.
The posted pay rate is $18.00 – $20.00 per hour. The Customer Service Representative acts as a support partner to customers, including repossession companies and lenders, answering questions and troubleshooting via multiple channels. They follow company policies and federal/state laws, collaborate across departments, and document all customer interactions accurately.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist customers with website and mobile app issues (passwords, account permissions, training)

Document and resolve issues in ticketing system

Identify customer needs and communicate trends in inquiries
-
Follow up with customers on issue resolutions
-
Provide support via phone, chat, and email
-
Collaborate with internal teams and manage assigned projects
Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or GED required, some college preferred

Minimum 3 years customer service or call center experience (repossession/automotive experience preferred)

General automotive knowledge

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
-
Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

Experience with technical support ticketing systems

Salesforce experience preferred
