Toast builds an all-in-one restaurant technology platform that helps operators manage and grow their businesses.

This role focuses on inbound sales and new business development specifically within Mandarin-speaking strategic cuisine markets on the West Coast, supporting restaurants that may encounter language barriers with typical sales processes. The AE will conduct outreach, demos, sales discussions, and contract reviews in Mandarin and set customers up for success with internal onboarding partners.

Best suited for mid-career sales professionals with proven experience in consultative or solution selling, especially within SaaS or tech sales, and fluency in Mandarin and English. This is a remote position with expectations of living on the West Coast or willingness to relocate. Toast does not sponsor work visas.

Support restaurant partners in Mandarin-speaking strategic cuisines by converting experienced inbound demand and driving new customer acquisition via tailored sales and product experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Follow up on inbound and marketing qualified leads in your market.
  • Conduct discovery calls and product demonstrations in Mandarin.
  • Create and review quotes and contracts in the customer’s preferred language.
  • Partner with onboarding teams to ensure customers are set up for success post-sale.
  • Understand competitive landscape to position Toast effectively.

Relevant Experience & Skills

  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (oral and written) required.
  • Prior sales experience preferred (consultative/solutions sales).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Entrepreneurial, feedback-driven mindset.
  • Nice to have: restaurant industry experience, Salesforce usage, formal sales training.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected compensation for this role is $118,000 – $189,000/yr. 

Total Targeted Cash for this role consists of a base salary, commission, benefits, and equity (if eligible). This role qualifies for uncapped commissions. The starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location.
