This part-time, remote position is open to candidates in Canada and the US. The role offers flexibility, allowing you to manage your schedule effectively while contributing to the finance team. As an Accounts Payable & Cash Specialist, you’ll be a key player in maintaining financial accuracy and vendor relationships.
What Your Day Will Look Like
Your day will involve reviewing and processing vendor invoices, coding expenses, and executing payment runs. You’ll manage cash activity by recording transactions, reconciling bank accounts, and supporting cash flow tracking. Additionally, you’ll assist with month-end close activities and collaborate on process improvements, ensuring the financial operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Process Invoices: Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and on time
- Manage Payments: Prepare and execute weekly payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers
- Reconcile Accounts: Record daily cash transactions and reconcile bank accounts
- Maintain Records: Keep accurate vendor records and resolve discrepancies
- Support Finance Team: Assist with audits and contribute to process improvements

- Education Requirements: 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or a similar finance role
- Accounting Software Proficiency: Experienced with Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar
- Excel Skills: Comfortable with data entry, basic formulas, and reconciliations
- Detail Orientation: Exceptionally detail-oriented with strong organizational habits
- Self-Management: Reliable and self-directed with effective time management skills
Compensation & Benefits
The estimated compensation for this role is $20.00 – $25.00/hr. based on experience. (Estimated based on similar accounts payable specialist roles; Actual pay may vary.)
